I've created 2 lamps having as a bulb an egg, and as a framework a coconut shell. In both cases the inside of the egg has been removed through a small hole, the interior has been washed and left to dry. Afterwards I inserted a colored LED inside the egg.

This lamp was inspired by a bird's nest. Once the yellow LED from inside the egg is ON, the fine wires that resembles straw are intensified in red color, giving the impression of tissues inside the body where the "seed of light" (the embryo) has been planted.
The theme of this lamp is" The inside of the Earth". I imagined the coconut shell painted with a bit of green to represent the exterior rocky layer of the Earth. Going beyond this layer in a journey to the center of the Earth, we find the core which is a smaller planet itself, a smaller Earth, lighted by a green LED. This idea was inspired by the Fractal Theory of Quantum Physics, which states that a universe contains a smaller universe within itself and is contained in a bigger universe. Since the universe has no limit: it is infinite small and infinite big.
